Jamiroquai Live @ Sepang F1 Concert Malaysia 2009

Music: Jamiroquai- Stillness in Time Mood: Aching All Over

My purpose of going to the F1 circuit is never to watch the race. So I shouldn't cringe over being late, right? The race is supposed to start at 5pm, how come the dreadful jam at this time??

It's the must-have parking sticker on every car.

Of course Agong no need to stick lah.

Finally I'm here! Initially wanted to take a few photos before proceeding to the concert zone, but I was at the wrong entrance (need to take a sky bus to the correct one(!!)), so I decided to wait at the concert zone entrance. It was 6pm and it started to rain like whales and dinasours~

The only tent outside. I saw girls with heavy makeup and high heels -__- early birds stand inside, late comers play far far with your umbrellas.

The entrance opened at 7.30pm, I was surprised to know that we were the only people running. So when we reached the stage, we were among the FIRST few in front; in other words, less than 10 meters from the stage!
Opening acts Maliq & D'Essentials from Indonesia and American acappela band Naturally 7 belted out 4-5 songs each.

I apologize for the bad quality photos as my cam settings weren't perfected YET.

Jamiroquai came out at 9.30pm, everyone went absolutely crazzzy. I'll let the photos do the talking:

JayKay himself

The Band
Bass- Paul Turner

Keyboards- Matt Johnson

Guitar- Rob Harris

Drums- Derrick McKenzie

Percussions- Sola Akingbola

Backup vocals- Lorraine and hazel

Jay Kay threw two towels- first one landed on top of a bald bodyguard XD, second one at the Singaporeans.

Songs performed:
1) The Kids
2) Alright
3) Seven Days In Sunny June
4) Black Capricon Day
5) Use The Force
6) High Times
7) Travelling Without Moving
8) Space Cowboy
9) Little L
10) Canned Heat
11) Cosmic Girl
12) Love Foolosophy
13) Deeper Underground

Here's where we are standing- you can start a mud fight down here.

They thanked the fans and went in after Love Foolosophy. We cheered on and they came out again with an encore song- Deeper Underground. Here's my favourite photo of all:

A drinking and smoking JayKay!

And he thanked us one last time:

"Thank you SINGAPORE!!!!"
what tha....???

It ended at 11.30pm. As a result of standing in the rain for 5 hours with lousy shoes-

But then again, I paid RM100 for a RM1,000 view and a world-class performance. Now I can die happily.

RM100 for a super VIP seat/stand for Jamiroquai concert. It's similar with paying RM5000 for Diamond Grandstand Sepang F1 !!!

I think this might be the once in a lifetime experience that we are soooooo close to Jamiroquai !!! NO WAY we can get closer than that in our entire life !!! OMG !!! Was that a dream ??? No it wasn't !!! He was shaking his butt in front of us !!! He was doing his signature funky dance in front of us !!!

Thank god. thank you so much. Miracles do happen !!!

And curse Malaysian weather.

Pin: I'm still mesmerized, haven't recover from the shock yet.But still, please don't remember us as our neighbour >.<

*~coLLeeN~*: you might not even get a great view/take good photos like this if you pay RM500 for a David Tao concert ticket, bcoz 1)they won't allow cameras 2)the front most seats are usually reserve for VVIP ppl who won't scream or move.
I think you will vomit if I post photos of my wounds :P

shee: he's already carrying my bag and stood in the rain without umbrella (luckily I wore raincoat)~ I do prefer to jump in my lousy shoes ^^
