Vote EARTH
Music: None Mood: Typing in the dark
Malaysia has finally joined the rest of the world towards the goal of 1 billion people switching off their lights for 60 minutes as part of a global vote. I wasn't home, but I'm so glad that my family did :)
This is IKEA-

Filial Piety
Music: 萧闳仁- 我沒有錯 Mood: full
"You sure you don't want to follow?" Mum asked for the third time in a week, in the car on our way back from work.
"No. Pin will be coming over in the afternoon." I repeated the answer for the third time, with my eyes closed.
It's Qing Ming festival this weekend. It's also the time of the year my parents will dutifully clean up grandparents' tombs in Ipoh, unfailingly each year; whereas my last recollection of going there was nearly 8 or 9 years ago. Relatives who are still paying their respects are getting lesser and lesser each year.
"who's going this time?"
"Only 大伯父,大伯母 (my dad's brother and his wife) and us."
"It's never easy getting to their tombs. The grasses along the way grew longer, so it's getting more and more difficult to get there each year since there are lesser people visiting there now," She paused and continued, "Both of you couldn't even recognize the way, not even your cousins who stays near here. They are not going back this time either," She paused again.
"Sooner or later, me and pa are going to be too old to drive there, so no one will be visiting poh poh and ah gong anymore."
I kept quiet.
"Next time, just burn our bodies and throw it into the sea, save all the fuss to visit or clean our tombs every year, "She hinted.
"I'll come along next year." I blurted out suddenly.
She drove slowly on the congested road. The radio continues to play its music, but there's an uncomfortable silence in the car. I slowly opened my eyes and stole a look at her- I just saw her mopping a trickle of tear off her right cheek.
It just so happened to be drizzling outside and this struck me- 清明时节雨纷纷,路上行人欲断魂。It means the drizzling rain during Qing Ming festival represents family members' dismal feelings for their loved ones. Indirectly, it's filial piety.
I promise I'll go next year.

Jogoya + The unexpected
Music: Juwita Suwito- Desperado Mood: I wanna travel...
Actually, this is not even my point of blogging this post. Aaaanyway, I finally went to Jogoya last Saturday.
If it wasn't because of the buy one free one coupon, I wouldn't have visited this place, as I would be taking photo instead of taking food, paying to shoot photo nia ^^
I later found out that visitors are prohibited to 'shoot' around the restaurant, thus ended up taking photos of food after being brought to our table instead.
I managed to steal a few shots before being chased around by different staffs.
Raw food section- sashimi and some other seafood.
hotspring eggs.
Teppanyaki section- you choose your food to be prepared by the chefs.
Sukiyaki- you choose your choice of seafood and soup, then heat them up on a small gas stove on your table.
Here's another kind of DIY sukiyaki, you choose your own food, press soup from the soup tank and heat it up at your table.
The soup is so bland that I thought it might just be plain hot water.
Both teppanyaki and sushi tasted so ordinary that it kinda surprises me.
Spring egg taste like...well, normal half boiled eggs. Sashimi was dissapointing, I might have choosen the tough part as I couldn't even chew them properly, didn't managed to finish them either.
normal cooked food.
Star dish of the night- ebi tempura. A must-try. It's so crispy and addictive!
A wide variety of desserts made up of chocolates, cakes, omochi and cookies.
The green tea cake and tiramisu was nothing close to nice, too much whipped cream. At least the hazelnut chocolate cake still boleh tahan.
All Haagen Daaz ice creams were almost out when we get there, here are the remainings Pin managed to scrap from the bottom of each bucket.
I don't even wanna know what kind of 'cocktails' are this. Probably soda and coke?
We paid RM88+service & government tax= RM114 for the dinner. I still don't geddit why everyone was so hyped up about this Taiwan-based Japanese restaurant other than it's based in the posh Starhill Gallery. It felt like Marche (the Swiss food restaurant at The Curve), scoring A for variety, C for quality.
Ooh yes, I'm finally coming to my point. We went to Pavilion after this and saw a small crowd gathered in the middle of the walk way. Guess who we saw there?
Mahathir and his wife!!! i have no idea why would they go shopping on a Saturday night with minimal bodyguards around.
Expats loved them so much. So nice of them to stop and pose for pictures. Actually they were inching away slowly, I even caught Mahathir making a 'pai seh' look before the obedient crowd make way for their departure. ^^

Infection
Music: 王力宏-春雨里洗过的太阳 Mood: Headache
So it's my first time taking LRT to work. I've heard so much about waiting as long as 3 rounds to get into the jam-packed vehicle every morning. The first train to arrive at Bangsar Station was an entirely vacant one, I thought,' it must be my lucky day!' then sat down like everyone else on the hard plastic seat.
The train then reaches KL Central and it was instantly filled up with working patrons.
Then I felt a sudden itch at my inner thigh. Well, of course I couldn't scratch myself THERE in front of nearly hundreds of working adults, so I squeeze my leg shut, hoping it could ease that irritable itch. But the itch grew more and more unbearable and I couldn't do anything to stop it, thanks to my big ego.
Have you ever tried refraining yourself from scratching a mosquitoe bite? I must've look really goofy with both legs pressed extremely hard against one another, moving from side to side every 10 seconds, clutching my bag very tightly while biting my lower lip.
The 15 minute train ride seemed to take forever until it finally reaches my station. I ran like a madwoman back to my office/cubicle so I can scratch the hell out of the freaking itch. I stared with my mouth agaped at the rash, which is not even a rash. It's like a bee sting, two 3cm wide, 6cm long swellings.
I took this today, it's initially 5 times bigger than this last Thursday.
Almost immediately, all kinds of 'what if' ran through my head. I don't want to know what kind of bacteria from what kind of person have I sat onto!!
I showed it to my female colleagues and two of them exclaimed that they had similiar experiences. one kena exactly the same spot, another kena TWICE in a month, wearing pants!!
I swear I'm never going to let my bare skin touches the seats anymore.
*scratch scratch scratch* Jesus, it's still itching after 7 days!!!

Group photo- by waitress who doesn't know how to focus.

Then the performers for the night, an unexpected meeting with...
Kai Juin!! I was just wondering another day whether I'm going to bump into the event king one day ^^
I wonder how much it cost to invite him, the face changing performer from Sichuan.

Er, Sir... lemme help you with that...

Angela: I hope you won't need help later back home~
